Our History
Founded and female co-owned since 1939
Dessy Group got its start in 1939 in New York City. Originally known as A & M Rosenthal, we produced bridal veils and headpieces designed by founder Margot Rosenthal. In the 1950s, Margot's daughter Ronnie Dessy and her husband Andrew took the lead, adding bridal and bridesmaid dresses to our line-up.
With the third generation, we became known as The Dessy Group. Ronnie's children, Alan Dessy and Vivian Dessy Diamond strengthened the focus on bridesmaid dresses and introduced social occasion dresses and menswear.

Today, Dessy Group is led by CEO Alan Dessy and CCO Cynthia Vor Broker Dessy, who continues to innovate and inspire within the fashion world. We've become a leading designer and fabricator of bridesmaid dresses, social occasion attire, tuxedos, and wedding accessories.
